The main natural feature of Indian Falls is the horseshoe shaped waterfall, named after the Newash Indian tribe who lived in this area at one time.

The 15 metre high waterfall was formed by the erosion of soft Queenston shale beneath hard Manitoulin dolomite, in a manner similar to Niagara Falls.

Indian Falls can dry up to a trickle during summer months and at other times of the year when the creek has a decent flow, this is easily one of the prettiest waterfalls in the province.

A classic plunge waterfall, with a wide "amphitheatre" style gorge and a vertical drop of about 14-15 m.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor, Indian Falls Waterfall is a must see location for waterfall enthusiasts and photographers alike. For those who may have mobility issues, you may find the hike to the upper falls viewing area challenging.

For those who enjoy a challenge, the hike into the lower falls can be harsh at times, it is highly recommended that you come prepared with good sturdy footwear.

Once you reach the lower falls you will find yourself surrounded by spectacular views and experience that will make you want to raise your hands in the air!
